Heavy-duty concealed switch box for modular wiring
The MASCO CO-BOX 3x3 Heavy Duty is a concealed switch box designed for modular switch plates used across residential and commercial installations in India. Moulded from high-impact polystyrene, it takes the compression of setting mortar without deforming, and holds its shape when the modular plate is fixed and refixed over its service life.
3-punch knock-out design
Three pre-formed knock-outs on each face let the electrician route cable entry from any side — top, bottom or rear — without breaking a clean opening with a screwdriver. This matters on plaster walls where cable direction is decided after the pipe has been routed but before the switch box is fixed. The flanged rim gives a flush finish when the plaster is trowelled up to the box edge, so the modular plate sits flat against the wall.
Compatibility with all major modular plates
The 3 inch by 3 inch (76 mm x 76 mm) opening is compatible with 3-module and 4-module plates from every major Indian modular switch brand — Anchor, Legrand, Havells, Schneider, GM, Panasonic and others. That flexibility is why electrical contractors specify CO-BOX 3x3 as a default across a whole project: the plate brand can be chosen or swapped even after the wall is closed and painted.
Waterproof and long-life construction
The box is watertight when properly plastered and takes the day-to-day flex of switches and sockets over years of use without cracking around the screw mounts. Its rounded corners avoid cable insulation damage during pulling, and the deep internal volume accepts the extra wire loop that modern electricians leave for future rewiring.
Supply and site logistics
MASCO CO-BOX 3x3 ships in bulk cartons for site-store stocking on large projects, and in smaller display cartons for hardware store shelves. Repeat customers on multi-tower projects get scheduled dispatches so the site never runs short during the wiring phase.
